I thought I’d share these 2 short videos taken as I start two bigger pieces (both diptychs) on cradled wood panels. I’m enjoying going large and I’m enjoying creating on the wood surface. I’ve had a hard time finding the sizes I want so I’ve started using 2 panels to create one piece.
There is usually something about play or flow or movement in any artist statement I create. The play is embedded right from the very beginning of each piece where I allow myself to play even in the mundane job of sealing and gessoing the substrate.
